Event Details - Untraveled Worlds

Sat. April 29, 7 pm The Saint John Men's Chorus & Cantores Celestes Maritimes will be presenting 'Untraveled Worlds' – an evening of gorgeous choral music from the 11th to the 21st centuries at Portland United Church-Saint John (50 Newport Crescent). The program features music ranging from Charpentier, Vivaldi, Galuppi, Handel, and Vaughan Williams to pieces by the Rankins and Bruce Cockburn. Come travel with us for 90 minutes where the Men's Chorus sing of open roads, wild seas and where things do not grow old, and Cantores Celestes Maritimes soar with the lyrics from Alfred Lord Tennyson's 'Ulysses', ''Yet all experience is an arch wherethrough gleams the untraveled world." Music Director Kelly Galbraith is joined by the talents of the Cantores Celestes String Quartet, the vibrant percussion stylings of Andrew Mott and fabulous accompanists Rebecca Burrill and Dr. Kevin Langford.
