Join us for a final showing of Joshua Thomson's short film, The Cigar - A Saint John Family Wartime Story. A true story based on his grandparent's romance during the Second World War and an encounter his grandfather had with a prominent world leader at the time, while working for the Canadian Pacific Railroad. The short film was submitted into the Imperial War Museum's 2017 Short Film Festival in London, England. It made it to the second round which was the top 40% assessed in the competition, out of nearly 700 entrants from around the world. Joshua is doing this special showing of the short film to commemorate the 25th anniversary of his grandfather's passing.

Sunday, October 14 at the Royal Canadian Legion Lancaster Branch 69 in Saint John West at 714 Wilson Street. Tea and coffee will be served and the cash bar will be open. Free admission. All welcome.
